Congratulations to the MPO winner of the first GCL

Congratulations to the MPO winner of the first GCL Winter Challenge, David Hüsler. Two hot rounds above 1000 rating 🔥 allowed him to dominate the competition and confidently tackle the final. Congratulations also to the podium finishers, Gio Diena and Mike Leu, who tied for second place at -15.

Peter Hüsler claimed victory in the MP50 category, ahead of Luca Stanca and Livio Pugliese, while in the amateur category, Stefano Asnaghi secured first place, followed by Riccardo Rossini and Brendan McCauley.

Si chiude il primo anno della Ventitre, un anno intenso e ricco di soddisfazioni!

Abbiamo iniziato con l’inaugurazione del percorso del @greenclublainate , un evento che ha segnato un nuovo capitolo per la nostra associazione. Poi sono arrivati tornei che entreranno nella tradizione: il GCL Summer challenge e il fantastico Santa Maria Maggiore Open.

Un altro momento imperdibile è stato il Transalpine Cup, il nostro primo incontro con i vicini svizzeri, che ha consolidato un'amicizia non solo sportiva. Non possiamo dimenticare il nostro primo Summer Camp di disc golf che ha coinvolto tanti giovanissimi, e i diversi Open Day insieme a @outsidesportfun che ci hanno permesso di far conoscere lo sport a nuove persone.

E questo è solo l’inizio! Il 2025 ci aspetta con ben 5 tornei già in programma nel Ventitre Italian DG Tour, tutti in golf club mozzafiato, e tanti appuntamenti pensati per i beginner, perché vogliamo che il disc golf continui a crescere e ad avvicinare sempre più persone.

Un enorme grazie a @prodigydisceurope per il supporto che ci ha dato in questo fantastico 2024.

The first year of Ventitre comes to a close—an intense and rewarding year!

We began with the inauguration of the @greenclublainate course, an event that marked a new chapter for our association. Then came the tournaments that will become tradition: the GCL Summer Challenge and the fantastic Santa Maria Maggiore Open.

Another unmissable moment was the Transalpine Cup, our first encounter with our Swiss neighbors, which strengthened a friendship that goes beyond sports. We cannot forget our first Disc Golf Summer Camp, which engaged many young participants, and the various Open Days with @outsidesportfun, allowing us to introduce the sport to new people.

And this is just the beginning! 2025 awaits us with five tournaments already scheduled in the Ventitre Italian DG Tour, all set in breathtaking golf clubs, along with many events designed for beginners, as we aim to keep disc golf growing and reaching more people.

A huge thank you to @prodigydisceurope for the support you’ve given us during this fantastic 2024.
The best is yet to come in 2025!

Italy and Switzerland will face off in an exciting competition, marking the start of a new tradition.

The winning team will lift the trophy and keep it until the next event, hosted alternately between the two countries.

With an incredible round 3 and an exciting final,

With an incredible round 3 and an exciting final, Pontus Norean Asp from Sweden takes home the first Santa Maria Maggiore Open, just one stroke ahead of Giorgio Diena, who always shines during finals and manages to turn matches that seem decided. Congratulations also to Filip Ekstrand, who secured third place and showcased some incredible technical throws during the final.
In FPO category, Vanessa Bucciol took the top spot over Aldona Krysiak-Adamczyk from Poland and Maria Rosa Barresi (winner of the Spirit of the Game), who ended the tournament on a high note.
Marco Carfora easily claimed the MP40 champion title, finishing ahead of Massimo Querin and Jeffrey Hughes, who provided an exciting final for second place.
Riccardo Menarini won Amatour division, demonstrating his impressive growth during this year. The second place went to Spanish player Jorge Almeida @jito19, Who finished ahead of the American Stephen Ricigliano, in third.

We present the first Santa Maria Maggiore Open powered by @prodigydisc, set in the picturesque alpine village of Val Vigezzo, just a few kilometers from Switzerland and Lake Maggiore. The course is located within a golf club nestled in a pine forest, offering beautiful wooded and open holes with narrow fairways.

Dates: October 12th to 13th, 3 rounds + final.
Registration opens on June 27th (link in bio). Numerous activities await you in the area, including hiking, horseback riding, camping, and, of course, excellent food.
